The style of dressing in the 'indie rock' genre tends to be quite simple, block colours with certain singers adding their own quirky, personal touches to the outfits. For research into my own performer's costume I looked at pictures of Josh Franceschi (You Me At Six), Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low) and Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy). All of these singers are from the same genre as my own video and so I thought they would be obvious examples for me to model Ben's look on. I was thinking of putting him in skinny jeans, with a white top / shirt and then, to allign him with the acoustic / quirky genre, using accessories like necklaces to make him look a little different and more interesting. Luckily for me, Ben has a home-made necklace with loads of padlocks and keys on it - this is brilliant for my video as it links in with the idea of 'finders keepers' but nice and subtely.
